The Zone Diet Plan
An Introduction

The Zone Diet basically states that your meals should be built around protein. Protein should represent (by calories) 30% of your meal. Carbohydrates are 40% and 30% should be fat.

Typical diets are 70% carbohydrates, 15% protein and 15% fat. The problem with low fat/high carbohydrate diets is that they do not control hunger. Although we won't go into the detail of how carbohydrates/sugar/insulin cause this, suffice it to say that the Zone Diet if properly followed has the wonderful benefit of just about eliminating hunger. The many thousands of people who have successfully dieted using the Zone Diet have done so hunger-free.
