#1 Choose water instead of acidic sodas or sports drinks.

or sweets.

#3 Avoid dangerous situations. (Stop driving by the donut
shop on your way to work.)

#4 If you are watching your calories and dining out, ask
the waiter to not bring bread to your table.

#5 Recruit support, whether it be a trainer or a workout
buddy, misery loves company and a little help in this area
goes a long way. This tactic helps keep you accountable and
when the going gets tough, you'll have someone there to pull
you through.

#6 Start reading labels. There is no way to live a healthy
lifestyle without reading the labels. if you dont know what
you are putting in your mouth, then you are flying blind.
Dont assume you know either. You should triple check the ingrediants
list and serving sizes. you have to rely on yourself for this
as nobody else is going to do the math for you.

#7 No exercise is created equal. You might like running,
so run. You might like jogging, so jog. You may like yoga
classes, spinning, kickboxing, etc. Find the exercise that
works best for you and then do it!

#8 Set realistic goals. Slow and steady wins the race.
Dont bite off more than you can chew as that only sets yourself
up for failure. Make small goals on the way to the bigger
goals and in the end you will achieve more and you'll reach
those smaller goals more frequently.

and always avoid transfats, MSG and high frucose corn syrup.

boost your metabolism and your overall health.

and the key to weight loss is creating a lifestyle that works
for you as an individual. Keep your goal in sight, be patience
and loving to yourself, and you'll reach your goals in no

#12 Take a multi-vitamin. Vitamins can help boost your
metabolism by offering the proper nutrients to your body.
While it is true that we should get many of our nutrients
from the food we eat, it's tough to find those nutrients in
today's over-processed foods. Plus when dieting, we dont necessary
get the variety of nutrients from food we need to support
our bodies properly.
